Port House Creamery

We were visiting friends in the area and stopped by late last night. The owner was closing up but opened back up for us. We were very grateful for the kind gesture (especially with having kids). The ice cream was fantastic! It’s freshly made and you can taste it. Wish I could have tried more flavors. The shop had a cool vibe and also sold crab cakes. I’m sad I couldn’t try them since we weren’t staying in the area. They ship crab so I might have to check that out! The owner was super friendly and told us about the shop and its history. We wish him success in the future and will be stopping by if we are in the area.

This ice cream is absolutely delicious, creamy and full of flavor. There is not many flavors, but that's the way I prefer it. I've been to all 50 states and had ice cream in most of them and this is in the top 10. Salted caramel was incredible. Strawberry, apple butter and butter pecan were really good and super tasty. The vanilla was in my top 5 vanilla ice creams of all time, it almost tastes like your eating butter. The only negatives would be that there isn't any place to enjoy inside, especially if it's cold outside and the portion size is a bit small, even with getting a double scoop. Port House, don't change a thing with the ice cream and you'll have a customer for life.

Fantastic ice cream (seriously, the best vanilla I've ever had) and super friendly service. They went above and beyond to help us. Can't wait to come back!

Rich & creamy full flavored ice cream! ... We had chocolate peanutbutter - good balance of both flavors, and butter pecan - tons of nuts! Julia - our server, was very pleasant & has a lovely smile. Clean & relaxing atmosphere.
