Port Austin Bed and Breakfast

What an amazing place! Lance and Joanne are really welcoming. They rescued the former lumber-money mansion and transformed it into a thing of beauty and put so much effort and investment into it. The first floor is original but the second is completely different with a more modern look. There are very nice touches throughout. It's very close to the downtown and waterfront. A farm to table restaurant is nearby, if you still want to eat anything after their gourmet breakfast!

Our stay at Port Austin Bed and Breakfast was outstanding. The home is beautiful with amazing attention to details reflected throughout in the woodworking, the period lighting, the cozy spaces to relax, read, sip a glass of wine and the big wrap around porch. The location is easily walkable to downtown Port Austin. We stayed in room 4 which has a mid-century vibe with the furnishings and decor. The bed was wonderfully comfortable, with a nice selection of pillows, the ensuite is spacious with a large walk in shower and the blackout curtains allowed us to sleep a little later than we normally do. The breakfasts prepared by Joanne and Lance were absolutely delicious. We were celebrating our anniversary and to start our meal Joanne prepared a scrumptious raspberry puff pastry in the shape

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautifully restored historic home. Every room was exquisitely renovated and thoughtfully appointed, showcasing stunning trim work and stained glass windows that added timeless charm. The fall decorations throughout the property were warm and inviting, perfectly complementing the season. Our room was spacious and serene, with a beautifully renovated bathroom featuring a large rain shower, elegant grey tile, and soft pastel purple walls that created a calming atmosphere. Everything was impeccably clean, and ample parking made arrival stress-free. Breakfast was a highlight—delicious and satisfying. Joanne and Lance are perfect hosts with a beautiful home to share. They pay attention to every detail and are very quick to respond to requests! The breakfasts are outstanding! The interaction with the hosts was informative and very helpful! I would recommend this location to anyone looking for a relaxed, clean, well decorated environment. I plan to return for another visit!
