Dark Sky Lodge & Tavern

Had a great time staying here. The rooms are super cute. The only complaint was the bed and pillows. We thought the mattress and pillows weren't comfortable. A better mattress and pillows and I probably wou want to ever come home. However we enjoyed our stay and would likely go back again. Great location. The restaurant was closed for the season so we didn't get to try that. The pool area is just beautiful. We stayed out by the pool and watched the stars. Very good view. Definitely recommend.

The food we had was great. We had a smash burger, spicy pickle pizza, and kid’s chicken tenders. The fries are like a curly steak fry, so if you’re not into that kind of fry I would just skip it and get a different side. The fountain pop was crispy and our waiter was really cool and nice. I would definitely go here again :).

This place is so cute! The bed was very comfy, had a hand held telescope for star gazing and bird guide. Pool was very nice and warm. Lots of sitting area. Tavern staff and food was fantastic! Highly recommend the Rock N Rye wings and the smash burger. Delicious. Cute atmosphere! We will definitely stay again!

Stayed in one of the road-side rooms (1-3) they have wood floors and road noise was completely covered by the A/C and fans we brought with us. The room was “cozy” but we easily moved around and had enough outlets to charge everything. WiFi was a bit slow as was the Verizon connection, but we got what we needed from it. The bathroom shower is a bit cramped for my big guy self, but completely functional. Only thing we could have used was a towel drying rack or some more wall hooks. The pool looked amazing and the view of the sky at night out back was great, even if you feel like you are hiding behind a building in the clearing. The big mercury light at the road was a bit annoying, but we dodged it the best we could. I will certainly think about returning here if we ever return to the thumb.

My husband had the Smash Burger, said it’s the best burger he’s ever had! Our aunt and I had Pizza and it was great! The server was very nice, also! Highly recommend.
