Pop's Homemade Water Ice

We went to Pop’s this evening and Layla helped our family out. She was so bright and cheerful. It’s refreshing to have good customer service!

We go here a lot and it's great. But a couple months back I saw their flyer on ice cream cakes and so I ordered one. It was fantastic - they did a really good job. Everyone in the family enjoyed it...for several days.

Saw the roadside sign about new ice cream cakes and decided to order one. This is the type with just ice cream but you get to customize the mix or vanilla/chocolate, the sauce and candy crunch filling, and the sprinkles. The only thing they don’t do is write on the cake. It is a bit pricey but it is huge. The fudge wasn’t quite all the way through but it was very good. Service was also excellent - when the cake needed more time to freeze, they offered to deliver it if I wanted, discounted the cake, and gave me a coupon. They now take credit cards but impose a fee. Debit cards aren’t charged but it isn’t clear on the signage or the screen, only once you get a receipt is the surcharge not there.

I love Pops. We’ve considered installing a gate in our back gate to be able to walk there faster :) It’s one of the things we look forward to most in summer!

I have yet to visit since the new owners bought. I live across the country in SoCal. I WILL visit when I come home. My pop pop and aunt opened pops when I was 3! All I can say is I’m beyond happy that the new owners are bringing much needed life back into pops, and the Havertown community.
