Popovers at Church Square

I was introduced to popovers at Anthony's Pier 4 and learned to make my own eventually. I was excited to try Popovers after seeing it on Chronical the TV show. I decided to order the classic chicken salad popover partly because they have the calories listed next to each item and I wanted to not blow my diet for the day. PS....don't list calories it ruins the experience! It was definitely freshly made and was very lite in terms of not much mayo used and lots of freshly chopped celery with a few slices of tomato and lettuce. I'd have to say overall it wasn't very flavorful and you cannot disurn the taste of the popover when used for a sandwich. I'd much rather go with the classic...a hot popover with some butter. Overall a nice little spot for a bite to eat but not as wonderful as I expected

Popovers Restaurant in Wellesley Center is an absolute gem, and Morgan and her exceptional team are the heart and soul behind it all! Absolutely delicious! The popovers are fresh, hot, and come right out of the oven, served with your choice of fresh jam or honey butter. The coffee is excellent as well! The menu is wonderful, offering both breakfast and full lunch options. Highly recommend—this place is a must-visit!

I was so excited to have a popover bacon egg and cheese at this place. It was awful. The egg was microwaved and rubbery and the popover was literally tasteless. The atmosphere was very bland. The speedwell coffee was really good. It was all very expensive. Definitely will not go back. Very disappointing

Clean and spacious with tables for eating or working on your laptop. Popover and muffin were excellent! When I went there was no pricing for any items. I had to ask.
