Pope Beach is a beautiful and peaceful place to spend the day. The water is clear and refreshing, and the surrounding scenery is relaxing, making it perfect for swimming, sunbathing, or just enjoying a quiet afternoon outdoors. The beach is spacious, so even on busier days, it doesn’t feel crowded. The only drawback is the sand, which is a bit sharp and mixed with small stones, so walking barefoot can be uncomfortable. Bringing water shoes or sandals helps a lot. Despite that, the overall experience is very enjoyable, and the natural beauty of the beach more than makes up for it. A great spot for anyone looking to relax by the water and take in the views.

It's beautiful here... And the water was calm. This was the beach on a Monday. Empty except for a few families away from where we were. We were biking but I wish we had clothes to take a swim. The weather was nice .. surprised the water wasn't as cold. Clear waters. I would love to come back again. This spot if you want a day with your family. Plenty of parking and their was a bathroom close by. Picnic tables too

Perfect Tuesday! My favorite beach in Tahoe. Just wanted to some down time. Now you can hang with the masses of people bbqing, playing music and games, renting kayaks and paddle boards or you can drive a little farther down and find a private spot. Love that they have clean bathrooms with frequent attendant care. I believe the beach closes sometime in Oct so check the schedule.

This place is not the ideal spot for a peaceful weekend getaway. It’s packed with loud music playing everywhere, which completely defeats the purpose of connecting with nature. To top it off, they charge $12 for parking.

This is my favorite beach as a former SLT local. Its inexpensive, has bathrooms and picnic tables all along the beach. Its LONG. They keep it so clean. It's a great place to launch a kayak or SUP board. Very family friendly. My only issue is tourists. They can be inconsiderate, playing loud music at times or letting theor children terrorize the local geese and ducks. If you go during the week its better.
