We went here a few weeks into the season based off of a friend’s recommendation. We got here a little early and were had we did as quickly there was a wait for a table. The menu is exactly what you would think. I got the gumbo, shrimp and crawfish. Everything was delicious, the shrimp are cleaned and sliced down the back making them super easy to peel. Both dishes were seasoned really good and the sides were good. Only issue for us was the crawfish were really small, looking at other tables it seems like it was just a bad time due to the winter storms which came through a week back. We liked it anyway and definitely will come back to try again.
My first time there was today and I swear I should have came so much sooner this place was amazing the food was 10/10 the atmosphere was as wonderful and the workers were super sweet from the time we walked in to the time we walked out I will be back I told my mother will be back next week! The taste in the crawfish, shrimp etc and atmosphere of service overall was 5 stars !!
It was pretty chaotic with children playing tag everywhere. It kinda reminded me of the play place at McDonald's except McDonald's has a play area . Pooks entire dinning area seemed to be a big play place. You can't really have a conversation with your table unless you don't mind yelling and repeating yourself. Food was good and the waitstaff was friendly tho. I don't plan on going back.
Crawfish is hit or miss on the size but tastes great!
This is a seasonal restaurant open when crawfish are available. Alcohol is not served, but customers are welcome to bring their own and a local liquor store will deliver to this restaurant for $10. Plastic cups are available for those bringing their own alcohol. Outside soft drinks and food are not permitted. Air conditioned indoor seating and shaded outdoor seating are available. Outside seating can be quite dusty, as gravel parking areas surround the restaurant. Dine-in menu is on-line now, with a barcode at each table to be scanned with your smart phone No green food is served here. Everything we tasted had no apparent seasoning, but melted butter, tartar sauce, cocktail sauce and seasoned salt are available. Crawdads are sold by the pound, but very little of each can eaten, so one p
