Pollos Polito

Nice small restaurant with small tables and chairs if you want to stay and eat there. I asked for Mofongo with shrimp but they didn't have shrimp. Then I asked for ribs but they didn't have ribs either. I wasn't upset though because it was around 7:35 in the evening. I ordered some fried chicken and beans and rice and it was delicious. This is my second time at the restaurant so I felt it was time for a review. Nice spot.

Pollos Polito is one of the best Dominican restaurants in the county! Food is delicious and fresh, not to mention staff are helpful as well. There’s indoor seating available for those who want to dine in. Prices are reasonable but can be a bit on the pricey side compared to other competitors in Haverstraw. It’s my second time ordering from here and my family and I are very satisfied! I recommend calling ahead to place an order since it can be busy at times!

Every time I call to order they are out of what I want to order. It’s crazy only certain times can place chicken. Food is great but can’t ever get anything.

It is a hit or miss. At times the food is fresh but other times it can be Dried out by the lamps. The turn around for food is not often enough for change. This could be due to the price. Went in around 7:30/8. Not many options besides fried chicken and vegetables. I asked for 3 drums....3. Nothing else and was told it was $9 and change😮😫😫. There's nothing different or special about the taste..I think I could have gotten 2 drums and a side from Popeyes. I walked away and did just that. I do like too support small businesses but it must be worth it

Stopped her on a bike ride up the Croton Aqueduct trail. Really nice plate of fried chicken thighs and fries for $8. If I lived in the area, I would definitely try the chicharron and fried fish, they looked delicious in the warming trays.
