Casa Hudson CLOSED

I lived at casa Hudson for almost 3 months during a work assignment. The place was never really clean from my first step in the door, markings all over the fridge, crumbs on counter, moldy old fruit lying around with flies and nats.... My room the HEP was fine, spacious, except the 700 year old dirty rug. I actually rolled up and put under the couch my entire stay. People's old food remains in the fridge for weeks if not months which is gross. Events are had here and not cleaned up for DAYS with old stuff on the counters. Nothing like sitting on the front porch having to stare at people's old cigarette butts in the ash trays, really does add a nice touch! ||The town is the exact opposite of quaint.. Unless you like the smell of weed, looking at run down buildings, and being in a VERY run

We had a wonderful time at Casa Hudson and were fortunate to meet the hosts. We stayed at the HEP room which has a gorgeous bathroom. It was amazingly quiet and it felt like we had the whole house to ourselves. There is amazing artwork by Nelson everywhere and it felt like a “Night at the museum”. We will surely come back again. Beautiful building inside and out. Our host assessed the level of attention we wanted and provided wonderful conversations and suggestions for places to visit, dine, and get in an awesome trail run. It felt like staying with a friend. The Italian pastries with hot coffee started each day with a bit of vacation indulgence. If you are looking for something serene with a view of the Hudson, look no further.

Excellent short-term stay in Haverstraw: Nelson and Andrea did an amazing job of welcoming us to Casa Hudson! The bedding was high-quality and provided a great night’s sleep. They provided all necessary amenities in their bathroom. The Italian breakfast in the morning was the perfect touch: coffee, pastries, and good conversation. We would love to come back here for future trips in the Hudson Valley. This was an excellent staging ground for day trips to West Point or the city.

Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic, great hosts, and a great waterfront view. The home is located on the widest part of the Hudson River. Inside you will find a artistically renovated interior decorated to the max. The bedrooms are quiet, no TV, phone,or radio, just solitude. Breakfast included fresh fruit and croissants from Italy. We met one other guest and he was super charming and very interesting! Special kudos to Andrea and Nelson!! Thank you Bill and Yvonne
