Poke Sushi

It may not look fancy on the outside, but don’t miss this place- it has the best sushi in deland! Never disappointed, everything we’ve tried is amazing. If you’re looking for a great date night in to go order or an easy place to grab food for a group, this place is perfect!

Sushi at this place is phenomena! I totally recommend it. Try the Tiger roll and shrimp tempura (husband’s favorite). My go-to is the spicy tuna roll and the rainbow roll. Love it!!!! They also have lunch specials which makes it super affordable.

Tucked away just a few doors down from the Publix Super Market at Northgate Shopping Center is a popular Sushi and Hibachi operating fittingly as Poke Sushi & Hibachi Hawaiian Style restaurant. I say popular because in the time that we were there, we saw numerous pick up to go orders (locals I would presume). Beyond their lunch specials of both Sushi and Hibachi, the have build your own bowl. They were very prompt in serving our Sushi order which was delicious. We will return!

Great place to grab a poke bowl! Massive portion size for a very good price, and they load it up with protein (sadly you can’t see my salmon and tuna because they are covered with other toppings, but you’ll have to trust me)! They even had tamago and takuan, which I don’t think I’ve ever had on a poke bowl before! I do wish they would cut their fish into slightly smaller cubes, but that is a minor suggestion for an otherwise tasty bowl!

This place isn’t just a hidden gem of DeLand, it’s a hidden gem of central FL. They make the BEST hibachi — hot, made to order, fast, and a great price. The lunch special hibachi is only $11.66 and includes a drink and honestly is enough for two, though it’s so good you might eat the hole portion. The sushi is also made to order and fresh and that makes a huge difference. The sushi holds together so much better and the rice is perfectly tender. Their California rolls are easily the best I’ve ever had. The spider roll is amazing if you want to treat yourself. I go here all the time for the price, great service, speed, and taste above all. Having gone here over 40 times I’ve only had great experiences! Cannot recommend enough.
