Poblanos Mexican Grill - Winamac, IN

Poblano's welcomed a large part of 40 kayakers. They were prompt and courteous. The restaurant was clean and staff even plays large trash cans in our eating area so that we could dispose of items during our time enjoying the buffet.

When I think Mexican I think flavor. Ordered taco salad and it was more like chopped ground beef with tomato lettuce shredded cheese and sour cream in a flour tortilla bowl. Was not impressed at all. Service was great though. Strawberry margarita was amazing!

Ordered chicken/steak fajitas. It was ok. Steak and chicken was over cooked and dry. The salsa had 0 flavor. Rates like watered tomatoes. Rice and beans were eh. Service was ok Nothing stood out about this place.

Dropped into this place on a Sunday just before noon. I was seated promptly and ordered quickly. I got the Enchiladas Rancheras (a combo plate one cheese, bean, and chicken). The food was fine, although a little bland. It was a standard Tex Mex experience - better than average given that we are in rural Indiana and this place seems to be mostly run gringos.

Really good little place. Very pleasantly surprised by the fish special. The Mexican food was good too. Nice staff. I would definitely stop back in if going through the area!
