Plaza Mexico Bar & Grill

First time, loved it. Immediately served large dish of chips & salsa. Variety of draft beers. Our platters of food were hot, generous & great. Service was just right, clean & pleasant atmosphere. Good chipotle sauce to add a level of heat.

For starters, We love, love Mexican food, have tried many. Their salsa and chips are above the rest. So thick, so much flavor. I like the fact that they bring each person at table their on bowl of salsa 😁 delishious meals and prices. Employees are so nice and very attentive

What a great place to eat! We were here fairly late after a sunset ferry ride in Beaufort, NC. The staff was friendly and we did not feel rushed. The food was wonderful and so was the service. The owner was there and spoke with me about a location in Jacksonville that is closer to our kids home. Can't wait to check it out next time we visit! The restaurant was very clean as well.

I don't know why we've never stopped here before, but I'm so glad we decided to try it. It was pretty busy, but we were seated immediately, and after we ordered, our food was on the table so fast I thought they were giving us somebody else's order. The decor is typical Mexican restaurant with the same carved chairs as many other places, but the food is definitely a step above. The salsa that they brought for our chips is deliciius and probably the thickest I've ever had. We started with the chicken rolls served over a salad. For the main course, I had Chili Rellenos, and my wife had a chicken quesadilla. I've had better Rellenos, but these were large and tasty. My wife loved her meal. Usually get outstanding customer service. But tonight our waiter brought out the wrong food. And argued with us about it! Laughing, showing no care at all. Not to mention the children’s entrees were brought out 15 minutes after the adults food. You can imagine how that went. When we spoke to the manager our waiter came over and continued to argue with us. Management here did the right thing and comped a portion of my bill. Don’t let this grumpy old man walk all over you.
