Playa Grande

Playa Grande has a lot of potential, but I’m not sure they’ve quite gotten there yet. Our server was very nice, and the service was mostly great, but at one point my wife asked for more chips and salsa and they forgot. Once the entrées came (I had steak fajitas, my son had a birria quesadilla, and my wife had tacos al pastor), they were alright. My wife is Hispanic, and we lived in South Florida for quite a while, so that’s the lens we look through when it comes to tacos. The food was a little “gringo-ized” for our tastes, but it was okay. As we finished our meal, we did notice several employees on their phones off to the side. I understand that it wasn’t very busy, but it’s usually best to answer personal calls in private. Food was ok.. I was excited to try the enchiladas after reading the raving reviews. All 3 meals we ordered didn’t come as pictured and tasted just ok. Wouldn’t go back.

Playa Grande is amazing! The staff are attentive and very friendly. The food is AMAZING! I’ve found my new favorite enchilada place. The chicken tacos are also excellent. Highly recommend you try it!

Highly recommend! Food was really good, we had the shrimp cantina enchiladas and the burrito tulum.

We waited too long to try this place!! Love the decor/feel of it.. the food was so amazing. Had the Birria taco salad and it was HUGE and delicious. The pork tamale which was amazing.. and a steak chimichanga. Prices were great. Wait staff was so attentive and nice. It’s 100% our new spot. I’d add photos but we ate too fast.
