PKS By the Shore

PKS is great if you’re hungry, but in like an hour. The food itself is good, portions are solid, and prices are reasonable. This should be an easy win for a casual counter service spot. Unfortunately, the wait time is absurd for the type of place this is. The kiosk quoted a 10 to 15 minute wait. When I ordered, the restaurant was basically empty. They had a few online orders, but nothing close to justifying what followed. My soup, which is literally just poured into a container, took about 45 minutes. You would think they would prioritize a kids meal, but no. At around 50 minutes, I finally got my sandwich and still no kids meal. When I asked, they said they were “very busy.” They weren’t. Food tastes like cafeteria food. I could have made a better sandwich at home. I purchased a chicken sandwich and stadium hotdog. Smallest hotdog I’ve ever seen in my life. Besides the small portions the prices online do not match the price I paid in person. $30.90 for a 6inch sub and a shitty hotdog. These guys are hustlers and now I see why they have to have a security guard at the front door. It’s ok my bank will dispute it, will never eat there again. If you like to throw your money away for gas station trash from a guy with a funny hat, go for it.

Food is unbelievably good. Wait time, however, was unbelievably long. We were the only ones there but we waited over 40 minutes for our food!

I don’t think less care, or preparation could have been applied to making the sandwich. The meat is horrible- over cooked, greasy and fatty. It was handed over in a plastic bag from a local realtor. And, it was $24. I was done after 2 bites. As far as atmosphere- middle school cafeteria.

great food. menu is amazing. i have not tried anything i didn't like.
