Nino Jr's Italian Specialty

What a wonderful experience I had unexpectedly today stopping in here while shopping with my daughter. I Didn’t expect to buy anything but I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and the reasonable prices. I’m very discriminating when ordering at “Italian Specialty Shops “ because of working in the 5 boroughs of the City. This place is a family on gem with personable owners and workers ! I’ll will be back! Go here!!!

This place has been around for quite some time. When I used to live in the area, I would come here before holidays to pick up Italian products for antipasto, such as prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, tarali, and bread. Their food would always make for a very nice antipasto before any holiday meal. The quality is good and they are very reliable.

Typed in Italian deli/ bakery and this was one of the places that showed up near where we were staying. It is a very authentic Italian deli. The loaves of bread were absolutely our favorite part. We got provolone, Swiss, and salami slices to make cold cuts. The Swiss was absolutely amazing! There was a lot of food that you could take and bake later or warm up. Lots of dessert choices and you could get a variety box full of sweets to try.

My favorite local Italian deli is closed Wednesdays, so I went back to my 'old neighborhood' to order subs for a family lunch. So glad I did. Rosa was very helpful and gracious, she made suggestions when I needed to customize my order. My guests asked where the delicious subs came from and suggested we do it again next time. Thank you Ninos and Rosa.

Great subs but terrible service! Placed a big order for pickup, and when we arrived and asked to confirm that all sandwiches were included in the bag, they were rude and dismissive, even though the shop was not very crowded at the time. Of course, they forgot a sandwich in the bag, and when we called later, they didn't offer a refund and said we could come back (a 25 min drive each way) to pick up the sub. The subs were delicious, but not worth the long drive. If you do go, make sure they get the order right, because if they mess it up, they probably won't correct the error.
