PK Oyster Bar

It was empty for a Saturday afternoon but the food was good. I got the seafood combo pan roast. I was slightly disappointed with the portions of seafood and the quality of rice. It tasted like boxed minute rice instead of actually cooked Jasmine rice. The flavor of the pan roast itself was okay and just enough to satisfy my pan roast craving. I usually go to oyster bar but just didnt want to wait 2hours. I also got the gulf oysters which were huge and also good. Server was friendly and atmosphere was okay.

This is not the typical oyster bar you experienced. Food tasted just fine but the details are missing. We ordered seafood stews, there were seafood and herbs in the bowl. Herbs are in big pieces and the crab legs were not prepared (cracked or cut diagonally) in a way for customer to consume easily. With the cracking tools provided, I couldn't get the meat because the crab legs were skinner than the the cracking tools. Similar situation with the shrimps, I needed to de-shell them. The herbs were all over the place. I had to pick that out before drinking the soup. Server was not trained well. Asked of we need a box while we were still working on the food. The place was empty, there were only three tables seated.

Excellent raw oysters ($32 for a dozen gold band), but are pre-shucked, pressure processed, sealed and shipped from LA in ice. Fast service. Spice level is very good. Was sweating at a 6, great at 3-4/10.

This is definitely a hidden gem. The location is a bit out of the way and not in a familiar area however the food is absolutely delicious! If you have seen most of my reviews I tend to go for a more high end dining experience but if your looking for a casual/New Orleans style food this is the place. I believe this place is fairly new and its so under rated. If he had a place on the strip this place would be packed 24/7. Chef Ramon is super talented and friendly. It’s a casual vibe where you can have beers and wine. The oysters were very fresh and tasty. I had the bouillabaisse which was the right amount of spice and flavor. My husband had the pan roast and he ate it all. It was that good. Don’t let the location deter you as you will leave here very satisfied. Will definitely be back!
