Pixiu has been my favourite mala hongtang place ever since I discovered it. As a vegetarian I struggle to find good food places in Korea-town and this place did not disappoint. I’ve been a regular here now, the owner is so kind. For someone who has a spicy Indian palette like me, I would recommend to make your own malatang and get the soup with the spice level 2. It’s heaven in a bowl. Everyone I brought to this place loved it too. Especially my mother who was visiting from India. She said it’s a unique dish and something so well cooked you feel like you’re home.

This is my very first 1 star review. I had a deeply disappointing experience here. Despite being polite, our waitress was incredibly hostile and actually yelled at me when I asked for her “Check please “ She didn’t give me the bill Instead she asked me Where is your card with the aggressive face? I can’t even see the bill how much I have to pay. ? To be honest I didn’t do anything or ask her for extra I just wanted to eat and go and I always left the tips everywhere I go but today I didn’t because of her behavior . To top it off, “she added an unauthorized tip to my credit card after I signed”. Disrespectful service and unethical billing practices." This is robbery through the very bad service.? This place brings Korean and Chinese style mala together. You can pick anything from the bar and they’ll cook it for you. Choose between stir-fried and soup options! There are a lot of options, both vegetables, noodles and meaty stuff. Price based on weight and you can choose spicy level. I totally recommend ordering sides too because they’re really good. Everything was cooked fresh and seasoned to the right amount. It’s one of the not many restaurants that didn’t put too much salt! SUPER DELICIOUS!!

Definitely my top 5 favorite restaurant in Ktown!! The food is so good, probably because the selections here are always so fresh and so clean. It’s always a pleasant experience to dine in here. The people working here are also very kind and helpful. Btw, if it matters to you, they have THE cleanest restroom I have ever seen in Ktown.
