Pioneer Restaurant

Drove from Richlands Va to Lebanon Va to a great old fashion drive in resturant and ice cream parlor. The Pioneer Restaurant is the place to go for a great cheeseburger ( larger than a normal burger) , order of onion rings and a great chocolate shake. The place was clean, staff friendly, and food was really good. I will be going back soon for a banana split because I was too full from this meal to add it. What’s great is you can eat indoors or go up on the outdoor deck upstairs and eat in the out of doors

Don't go here unless you have 30 minutes to kill for them to make nachos. I think they actually had to make their tortillas from scratch. It's the only thing that would make sense for how long it took. Mind you, this was when no one was in there at all. I can't even imagine how long it would take if they actually had a full house. Very disappointing...

Wonderful atmosphere kind of takes you back in time. Good burgers and an awesome variety of ice cream

The hot dogs were great! The bun had a different look and tasted kinda like a corn dog and the chili was good too! They were busy so that should tell you it's good. But the service is slow.

Personally I don’t recommend, their food is basically higher quality gas station food at an absorbent price. Almost $15 for a mediocre burger meal. I also saw roaches around the restaurant itself and they appear to uphold a high employee turnover rate. I cannot comprehend how they pass their health inspections. Would give 0 stars if I could.
