Pilich Station Grill

Service was excellent. Food came out pretty quickly. Prices are decent as well especially for the portion sizes. My fave item was the corned beef hash. Would come back for that!

I really wanted to love this place because I truly appreciate supporting a family owned business, and the atmosphere had that welcoming, hometown feel. The service was friendly, and you can tell this restaurant means a lot to the people who run it. Unfortunately, the food did not match the experience. Parts of the meal were overcooked and burnt (steak and pork chops), while other items (like the pancakes) were a tad undercooked. It seemed more like an issue with kitchen execution than the quality of ingredients. I would absolutely come back if the cooking consistency improved, because this business has great potential and the kind of charm you want to support. Hoping they can make some adjustments in the kitchen this could easily be a local favorite with the right chef.

Best family owned diner in Blue Island. Patty melt and fries are my Friday lunch go to. Pilich never disappoints. I highly recommend trying it if you haven’t already.

We were greeted right away and Seated. The waitress was kind, fast, helpful, and very friendly. The homemade salsas were delicious. I had a steak omelet, hashbrowns , and toast. It was delicious. Also, ordered a cup of soup. They had split pea or chicken rice. I ordered the chicken rice. Delicious as well. We will be going back to try their tacos and burritos.
