A very nice family restaurant! If you want that "home-cooked" meal this is the place! I had the Burnt-Ends platter with Collard Greens & the 3 rib combo with Mac and cheese and baked beans. The burnt ends were very good with a nice texture and juicy flavor, and the Collard Greens were seasoned very well. The Ribs were tender with a nice smoke flavor and texture. The Mac and cheese were creamy with a good flavor and the baked beans were good as well.
The food is excellent. Everything tasted great. I ordered the 3 meat platter and got ribs, chicken thighs and brisket. The brisket was probably my least favorite only because it was all chopped up in tiny pieces. Its probably better in a sandwich. The ribs and chicken were perfectly tender and delicious. I really loved the collard greens and the chili mac n cheese side dishes. I highly recommend them as a side choice.
This BBQ place is a gem! If you love all things BBQ, seasoned well and full of flavor, come try it! Second time here, the staff is friendly, attentive and efficient in bringing out your order. Everything I have tried so far tasted great! This visit, I ordered the Carolina Pulled Pork sandwich and made it a combo. The combo come with a mini loaf of corn bread and 1 side. I chose the baked beans. The beans were flavorful, hot and mixed with a variety of beans, with a pig rig twist (see menu ingredients). The pulled pork was hot, shredded well and topped with a tangy Carolina sauce & house coleslaw.
This is a small but very good restaurant it has a couple of tables for dining in. It's another branch of the restaurant that is in Wallingford. I had take out. Great BBQ! Awesome smoked meats! I had the pulled brisket sandwich with the homemade pulled pork mac and cheese and corn bread! All of it was fresh and delicious! The service was friendly and fast! I highly recommend
The employees were friendly, even Brad Hamilton. They double checked allergen information with me, advised us on the best choices, and presented a clean sit down BBQ joint. The decor is attractive to kids of all ages, especially those who like collectable cars.
