Customer Reviews
We really loved that place. Very hidden but what a nice gem. Nice vibes for a casual lunch or dinner. Other places seem serving lesser and lesser fish. This had a good portion and yummy. Very dog friendly staff and outdoor seating. Awesome views on the rural harbour. We will come back, for everyone on the road this is absolutely worth the 2 min detour from PCH.
We stopped here for lunch while we were out riding the Pacific coast hwy. It is tucked back in off of the road a little bit, but it was so worth the stop! There is a pizza place, coffee place and some other things downstairs. There is a pier right there and a small beach area that is very nice as well. The atmosphere of the restaurant is fantastic, it was very clean and nice inside. The service was great and the food was fantastic! I had the prawn tacos and a drink, and friends had the New England clam chowder and the fish tacos. Everyone liked their food and was very happy with it. Highly recommend!
We’ve seen many iterations of restaurants in this location over the last 20+ years, and this is by far the best one! You order at the bar, and service is fast and excellent. Food accommodates a variety of diets. The fish or prawn tacos have delicious homemade corn tortillas. We went on a Friday night when there was fun live jazz - plenty of seating, and we could hear each other while also enjoying the music.
I am not sure if I had the normal dining experience here, but I would come back with slightly different expectations. When we walked up the deck with the outdoor seating, a lot of younger people in their 20’s was pretty much taking up the space, not so much physically but they were loud and probably did so to get the space to themselves. It was very much the “ you can’t sit with us” vibe. Came inside and you could only order at the counter, rushed through that and found a seat with the dinner crowd. I had ordered a clam chowder and it came out within 2 minutes of sitting. Chowder was 6/10 for me, not a lot of flavors and a little on the runny side. The actual meals were fantastic, my partner and I both were happy with the taste of the food. I had the Rockfish dish, and everything was seaso
Eh. Nothing was right but nothing was super wrong, just a blah experience when it came to the food and service. Had to search for someone to refill drinks. You pay before you sit and tip is asked for before being served. All food came out at once. Bizarre. Best part of the meal was French fries and oysters. Fried Fish- overcooked Fish tacos were just wrong, from Tortilla to toppings Calamari was good, but more other fried things than calamari
