If you want to recommend a fried fish place to your mama and not get slapped, this would be the place! I ordered fried whiting with cajun fries and a piña coloda. My server Chris had great hospitality and made me feel like a cousin! If you have noise sensitivity, it is loud ,but I’m black so I’m use to it not a problem for me. There are all kinds of people enjoying the food so come down if you want to eat good! I’m not from Virginia btw!

This was my first time going here; we were greeted with a very friendly hello party of 2, which we happily agreed. Hubby got the calamari basket and I the calami and tilapia basket with Cajun fries. Everything was seasoned just right and fried golden and crispy. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient. I will definitely be coming back and trying some different things on the menu.

I’ve always loved seafood, but it’s been hard to find a truly authentic restaurant that lives up to my expectations. Today, I decided to give this place a try with no high hopes—but it completely exceeded them! The seafood here is noticeably fresher than in other places I’ve been to, and the flavors are exceptional. Prices are reasonable, offering great value for money. What really stood out to me was the service. I came alone this time, and the staff frequently checked in to see if I needed anything, making me feel genuinely cared for. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the restaurant was clean and well-organized. One detail I particularly appreciated was that they immediately put up a caution sign after mopping the floor to prevent slipping—showing how much they care about customer safety

This wasn’t my first time at Pier88, and as always, the food did not disappoint. It’s served quickly, and everything tastes fantastic. The crab legs, in particular, are delicious, though I wish there were more tools to make eating them a bit easier. Unfortunately, the service this time was not great. Our waiter was dressed in a tracksuit and zip-up hoodie, which gave the impression of someone casually passing by and taking our order. It didn’t feel professional, and it seemed like she didn’t enjoy being there. We also waited quite a while just to get our drinks, which was frustrating. On top of that, the choice of music was questionable and didn’t match the vibe of the restaurant. I’ll come back for the food, but I really hope they work on improving the service and overall atmosphere.

First of all, the food is amazing! I took my family here and they loved it. It can seem pricey but in all honesty, it’s a good price for seafood (actual crab!). The restaurant was very clean and had an inviting charm to it that I really enjoyed. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. My kids laughed the whole time and had a blast. They also enjoyed the food.
