Pho Thuan Thanh

I was hoping for a nice meal, but honestly left pretty disappointed. The prices are definitely on the high side, especially for what you get, the flavors just felt ok Everything was kinda bland and didn't wow me at all, though my friend liked the food. Parking was complicated there are not a lot of spaces since they share it with other restaurants too. Inside, the place felt off it's hard to pin down exactly, but it wasn't very organized, and it came across as chaotic rather than bustling in a good way. The vibe wasn't the relaxed, casual spot I was expecting; it felt more stressed and unwelcoming.

The pho was ok not wow about it. Not a great big bowl for the price( maybe worth 10-12 not upwards of 14-17)and not many veggies came on the side. The guy who served our food and guy taking orders at the front were very rude. We were told to sit and still had to wait while others were served already. Honestly, I came here excited for authentic pho and Vietnamese food. The place looked a little run down, but sometimes that’s how you know it’s going to be a good hole-in-the-wall spot. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. As a Vietnamese woman, I can tell when a pho place is done right. When my bowl came out, I was surprised there was no rich pho aroma. Instead, it smelled heavily seasoned with fish sauce, almost like it was used to compensate for a lack of depth in the broth. The utensils, especially the spoons, had a strong soap or cleaning product smell, which immediately killed my appetite. I tried to power through and finish my bowl, but the last straw was finding a hair in my broth. Sadly, this wasn’t the experience I was hoping for. Looks like I’ll be heading back to Pho 43, best

I got the steak/beef pho. The broth is a bit sweet to my liking but once I add in the sauces and lime, delicious!! The pho is always super comforting. I’ve also gotten shrimp spring rolls and those were yummy too. The sauce for it is different from the usual peanut sauce I’ve had but, it was still good! When I first went here the owner spoke sternly. But, after that he has been pretty welcoming (still can be stern but I don’t take it to heart). When I crave pho, this is my go to spot.

I’ve eaten here many times, which is why I feel completely justified saying this: the service problem at this restaurant is not accidental—it’s enabled. The older man who works the front counter is consistently rude, impatient, and needlessly abrasive. No greeting. No basic courtesy. Just curt responses, visible annoyance, and an attitude that makes it clear he does not want customers there. It’s uncomfortable enough that first-timers notice it immediately. Before anyone jumps to excuses: this isn’t cultural, it isn’t a language barrier, and it isn’t a “bad day.” I’ve been coming here long enough to know better. This is the default behavior. And judging by the sheer number of reviews describing the same exact person and the same exact conduct, I’m far from alone. What’s baffling is that
