Periwinkle Inn

The Periwinkle Inn is fantastic. Our Deluxe Queen room was perfect for a weekend getaway. The place is quaint, but packed with amenities like coffee makers on each floor and a stocked breakfast bar in the morning. You also cannot beat the location, just a couple minutes from the ferry terminals and downtown shopping area.

I had a room with a private bathroom on the top floor with a charming view to the harbor. Gail and staff were very welcoming and Gail was always available by phone when I had questions. The Inn was very clean and housekeeping was thorough. The first floor stairs are old and a bit narrow going down, but the stairs to the third floor are modern regulation. Keurig coffee is always available and some select pre-prepped breakfast items were available in the morning (although I preferred to walk nearby to Stubbys or Born and Bread). The cable TV aspect ratio was off but I was told they will be upgrading their cable/internet service soon (and why watch TV when you're in Nantucket?). Overall great experience with a lot of charm and perfect for my September visit.

Our stay was fantastic in the two room suite we had at Nantucket’s The Periwinkle Inn. Gail, our Innkeeper, took calls at any hour, provided us with local sites to see and we partook in an island tour which she recommended. Continental breakfast was outstanding as were the welcome cookies upon our arrival. Location, just perfect, walkable to the Whale museum, tons of boutiques, and numerous restaurants.

Great location, clean spaces and good breakfast. Booked a room on a few hours notice when the ferry got canceled. Would stay again.

Loved this place! Gail the Innkeeper was fantastic. She took good care of us. We had a wonderful 40 Years of Friendship at the Inn!
