Penny's Kitchen

My partner and I went for breakfast here on our U.P. road trip. The woman at the counter who took our order and delivered us our food was kind and funny. The food was absolutely delicious and came at an affordable pricetag, the portions were also massive! This establishment has gone on our rotation of awesome restaurants in Sault Ste. Marie and we will definitely return!

Quick, friendly service and hot, fresh, well prepared food all at a great price! If you're a student at LSSU or visiting the Soo area be sure to swing in to Penny's Kitchen for a great meal!

We always hit Penny's Kitchen for breakfast whenever we up go to the Soo. The quality is consistently excellent, & the ingredients are fresh. Their toast is amazing, & the sausage patties are wonderful. Try a lemon bar with your coffee (you'll thank me later). As good as the food is, the service is what makes it special. Jen (she has the Mohawk 'do) always takes great care of us, but she's tough enough to keep us in line when we get too feisty. I always smile when I walk in & see she's working. I was astounded this last visit when I walked in & she asked if I wanted my usual white milk -- I hadn't been in for half a year! I highly recommend Penny's, & I can't recommend Jen enough.

Penny's Kitchen (St. Ignace.) Lunch. Via was Counter Service, and Waitress - Friendly, Welcoming, Happy, Efficient, great at her job. Then, there was Michelle, who makes terrific food and listens to customers' requests, when passed on from Via. She made one of the best Corned Beef Reubens I've had. My sister Jane had the Ham Club, also good. We both took out half of our sandwiches for dinner plus a carryout of Tuna & Shells for tomorrow.   Personally, I could have picked at least 4 other things I would have enjoyed.  Thank goodness, the first restaurant we planned on turned out to be closed for the season, and  we would have missed trying Penny's.  So worth going to.

I was very impressed with this place. Lots of seating and very welcoming. My husband and I ordered omelets. Both were stuffed full and hot. I think the English muffins were homemade and delicious. Lots of options on the menu for breakfast and lunch. Coffee smelled wonderful....highly recommend trying.
