Pennocks Icecream

Ice cream was fine and service was quick. A small cone cost over $5, which seemed very high for the quantity. It’s an ok place to stop, but there are better options in the area. Cash only.

Pennocks has been a staple for our annual family trip to the cottage. They have many flavors and are friendly. As a PSA, bring cash. This is a small seasonal business and they do not take cards. The Dollar General across the street is a good place to get cash if needed. Support this wonderful local business! Great people, great ice cream.

We went over the weekend while camping for a wrestling tournament and sadly was very disappointed. The first thing we noticed was that the person taking our order seemed "annoyed" and like we were an inconvenience to her, completely miserable- no smile, no welcome, not even a "HI", prices were not posted with the exception of the fact that they charge you for a dish, charge for a lid and charge you for the cone. What are you supposed to put it in??? Flavors for hard ice cream were posted, but to have an idea on size options (portions we felt were small, but again nothing posted so had no idea on options)- and when we asked, again she was annoyed! Lastly, apparently you're not allowed to use their trash cans for anything except their ice cream... even had a sign stating ONLY ICE CREAM TR

There is not a friendly vibe. It is quite close to the road on Route 3. You have to pay extra if you want a dish and a spoon for the kids. My son’s ice cream had ice crystals on it. All 3 of our hard ice creams were very soft. I prefer hard, hard ice cream, so the texture ruined it for me.

Great tasting ice cream from a classic roadside stand. Plenty of outdoor seating although the parking lot is oddly shaped, it only adds to the charm. A steady stream of locals were in line before and after my visit. The rainbow sprinkles were a bit too crunchy for my tastes.
