Stone Cove Cottage at Sackets

My friends and I stayed here for the 2025 Sackets Harbor Marathon, and it was such a wonderful treat! Not only is the house itself absolutely stunning, but the views from every side of it are truly breathtaking (unreal views of the sunset and moon!)! We were able to fall asleep listening to the sound of the waves. The house had plenty of space, and was extremely well equipped to accommodate a group. The hospitality is beyond compare ! We truly felt cared for. 😊 Another huge positive about staying here was how centrally located it was! Not only can you walk to downtown, but my friends and I were also able to jog/walk to and from the marathon! In fact, the course goes right by the house, so after our race, we were able to cheer the other runners from the house. 😊 Staying here truly allows

I did not have any negative experiences with my stay at the Stone Cove Cottage. I do have many positives. First, it is within a nice leisurely walking distance from the town which has many great restaurants. Second, the sunsets were incredible. Third, the house was incredible. Lastly, The water was nice and crisp. I did not go swimming, but I did dip my feet in on the last morning and regretted not going swimming. All in all it is a definite 5/5 recommendation from me.

This was my first time visiting the area and I loved it! The house is truly dreamy, the sunsets are gorgeous and the location is perfect. The hosts have thought of everything, the house is well- decorated and well-stocked. The town is historical and has lots to see and do. The restaurants are unique and really good, too. If you’re a Gilmore Girls fan, it’s like Stars Hollow! I’m a hiker and found loads of good spots along lakes and with waterfalls, and the Adirondacks aren’t too far!

I had a really great time with my family at the Stone Cove Cottage! It’s an easy place to flex between going out and hanging in. Plenty of eateries, local shops, and even historic sites (Sackets Harbor Battlefield, war of 1812) - all within walking distance. There were also some cool games, puzzles, and books to entertain when the weather inspired us indoors. :) Couple of highlights nearby: - The Whiskey Coop - has two menus, one with great vegetarian and vegan options! - Horse Island - walk across the shallow lake crossing at public water access just down the road. **It’s more of an ”explorers” adventure, which should include good/sturdy water shoes that are versatile for land walking and “shell dunes”. Heavenly view. Peaceful waves lapping the rocky shore simply relaxes you. Every need you thought of was available in the kitchen. Comfy beds, large bathrooms, fantastic sitting rooms, and an outside deck overlooking the bay and Lake Ontario are the order for the day. Beautiful landscaping and a great deck with a grill for your steaks. Across the street is a NY State historical battlefield from the War of 1812. Close to so many family activities. Never bored.
