Pender County Emergency Management

Thank you North Carolina/Pender County for your excellence in providing excellent public service employees. I phoned in regards to the safety of my mom & stepdad, due to the approaching Hurricane Florence. I spoke with Annette Lewis who was very knowledgeable, professional, and kind. I was surprised by the warmth of her of concern, as she informed me that she could take my mother's information -address, phone number, etc...as well as my phone number. She informed me that she would pass this on to the sheriff's dept. so that they could do well checks on them- I assume after the storm hits and it's intensity passes. I know that personnel cannot risk their lives to go out during active threatening weather, yet knowing that the departments have a watch list for elderly, and I'm sure disabled,
