Pelon's Baja Grill

Best fish tacos I’ve had in the area! We went for a late lunch on a Saturday and sat immediately at the bar. Plenty of tables if we wanted to sit there though. We ordered fish tacos, shrimp tacos and carne asada tacos. The Shrimp tacos were amazing, I wasn’t expecting them to be that good. The fish tacos by far are best that I’ve had in the area. Chill atmosphere, no frills, friendly staff.

Food is always excellent here. Have been twice when in town now and never been disappointed. Tacos are on point and tried a burrito, which was really big and flavorful. They have vegan brownies which are huge and soooo good too, along with vegan options on the menu. Food comes out fast too. Great experiences and will continue to go back when I'm in town!

I was thrilled to see that this establishment offered vegan options! I ordered the vegan quesadillas… OMG, it was finger-licking GOOD! I ordered this via Uber Eats but it was so good I had to call back to the restaurant and let the manager know just how much I enjoyed it!

I lived in San Diego for 10 years, I know something about fish tacos, these are good! Probably the best I have found in the eight years since moving away, but I still affirm that Rubio’s (a fast food joint) holds the standard and these fall just short. Not by much, but just short, the ability to dress your own goes along way! The chips weren’t consistently salted, some were extreme and the salsa was unique. I enjoyed it but it won’t be for everyone, not chunky, but thin sliced tomato onion and pepper which I would consider Baja style. The house margarita was ok but the Cadillacs was good. My only complaint it that their payment system calculated tips with tax included which seems dishonest. Overall ****

Pelon’s burritos always deliver the freshest and juiciest burritos. My favorites are the Curl with fried shrimp added, Hawaiian pipeline with chicken, Hang Ten, and chips w/ guac or queso. Bring your stretchy pants because you will definitely enjoy the serving size and what other items you add to your meal. The location feels welcoming and spacious. There is plenty of parking, and they always handle the lines well.
