Peking Wok

Used to be my go-to place in town but things have changed a lot. I have my same order and they used to have very good General Tao’s chicken. Used to be a darker brown sauce with nice meaty pieces of chicken. Today I ordered and it was like grilled chicken strips in an orange sauce. I called them when I got home to ask if anything changed and they said no… look at the pictures you can clearly see there is a big change from the past. ALLERGY WARNING: They put peanut in certain dishes that don’t normally have it and don’t disclose it. Tonight my wife and I tasted a strong flavor of peanut in the lo mein. I also asked about this and they said yes they use peanut sauce in their lo mein. Like… what?! So many people have severe peanut allergies!!!! If you look it up lo mein doesn’t usually have

Over time, there's not off-and-on moments of consistency with orders. Overall, this is definitely my preference for a quick bite to take out. The steamed dumplings and wonton soup should be a staple of every order.

We’ve been regular customers and have really enjoyed ordering takeout from here in the past. Unfortunately, our most recent order was disappointing. The food didn’t taste up to the usual standard, and one piece of chicken was so off that I had to spit it out. I didn’t expect it to make me sick, but I ended up with food poisoning and have been dealing with it for several days now. It’s really unfortunate because we’ve had so many great experiences before, but this has made me hesitant to return.

Im not sure what the other people who are rating this place less than five stars are used to or if they are just dumb but this food is the best and I have lived here since 1994 . I have never had a longer wait even on a Saturday night than any other place around and any wait is worth it when you taste this food. The folks that have rated this place less than five stars are nuts. The food and prices are top notch and I don't go anywhere else. I assume people that have a great experience are not doing these reviews - only the idiots. I hope they don't come back because this is absolutely the best place around here by far.

Very good local Chinese food. Consistently good food and quick service. This place does take out only. The kitchen is open so its easy to see they keep everything very clean. The owners and staff are friendly and they give us a calendar every year around xmas. Definitely my go too Chinese spot, and by far the best in the area.
