Peking Chef Restaurant

Came to Burke for an eyelash appointment, and decided to stop and try out this restaurant. The owner was absolutely charming and very kind. We got the Pu Pu Platter and an order of roast pork fried rice. We personally eat a lot of Asian Cuisine, and everything we ate here today was OUTSTANDING! It's hard to believe this quality of food is being served as take-out. They should definitely open up a full scale restaurant. More specifically the roast pork fried rice was BETTER than any I have tried in the 23 years living in Virginia (Charlottesville and Arlington). DEFINITELY our new spot when I come back for by bi-monthly appointments!! The pictures do not do it justice but I tried.

The food here is delicious I always order from here during special occasions. The food is made quickly on time and also the delivery is on time. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I’ve been coming here for over 10 years, and honestly this place feels like family to me. It’s one of those spots that’s been there through different phases of my life, and it’s always the same in the best way. My go to dishes are the shrimp with broccoli, Singapore rice noodles, and sweet and sour chicken. They never miss. Everything is made fresh and comes out hot, not just warm. You can tell they’re cooking it when you order, not pulling it from somewhere in the back. If you can, eat it there instead of taking it to go. The food is at its absolute best when it’s fresh out of the kitchen and steaming. That’s really what sets this place apart for me. Great food, genuinely kind people, and consistency for over a decade. I’ll always keep coming back.

I was craving Chinese food and found this place nearby so I thought I would give it a try. Ordered the vegetable lo mein and vegetable spring rolls. The lo mein was perfectly flavored and saucy. I wasn’t a fan of the long mushroom like ingredient, but, I can easily order it without. The texture of the spring rolls was amazing, super crisp and fresh! However, the filling inside could be better. A little less cabbage and maybe some noodles and seasoning would make those a lot better. I was disappointed in the variety of sauces for the egg rolls. The mustard and duck sauce has a weird taste. The chili oil was also weird. Some chili sauce/sriracha with the spring rolls would be bomb. Overall super delicious and fresh! The owners are super nice and welcoming as well. Will be back for sure!!!!

First off - this is a carry out Chinese place. So base your expectations on that. This is not the fancy huge round table Chinese restaurant. Given that, we have now eaten here twice in the last two weeks and both times the food was delish! Dine in once (great to have it super hot and now) and take out the other. General Tso's, Lo Mein, Friend Rice, egg drop soup, beef and broccoli, mooshu pork, and sweet and sour chicken, egg rolls, etc. All the food was hot and portions were good. The staff is very friendly and I could watch them cook all day. Was even given extra food because there was a coupon that I didn't know about and they showed me and gave it to me. This will be our go to Chinese from now on out. Kids love it too.
