29th Parallel Coffee

The reviews of this place are so high iit may have messed with my perception of the place but I found it only okay. I was served in a to go cup and I hate that when I'm staying at a place. The only time I would voluntarily choose to drink coffee out of a paper cup is coffee at a gas station when in a rush on a road trip. A fine cup of coffee is a simple thing to find these days. But a nice comfortable place to hang out is much more difficult to find. When I first walked in I thought I might like it there but then the barista's friend came in and I listened to them trash talk the owner and say rude things about others until I finally left. I read in more than one review that this was the "finest coffee shop in Fairfax". If you're new to town like I am please don't believe those reviews.

5 Stars If you’re tired of the same old lattes, come here. Their specialty drinks like the Rooh Afza and Biscoff options are game-changers. I also grab their Matcha regularly and it’s consistently great. Friendly service and a very cool atmosphere!

Had this place on my list to try for awhile, and finally made it in. I like the fact they adhere to specialty coffee standards, which made their drinks enjoyable. Otherwise, you go here for the neighborhood feel. Pastry was a different story. Croissant and pain au chocolat, in my opinion, were not their strength. It was doughy, lacking the lamination. Meh.

This is hands down the best coffee shop in Fairfax 🥇 Amir and Team bring new coffees from Amazing roasters all across the country. Also if you are into to pour overs this is your spot! Highly recommend them 🙌🏻

The drinks were fantastic!! There was a limited tea selection, but also many interesting coffee options. Did not order any food. The barista was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. There are a number of tables for two and one location that allows two or three two-tops to be be pushed together which would allow for a larger party. The bench needs to be more comfortable to sit back on. There are also some comfy chairs.
