Peggy's Country Kitchen

This was my third time coming to this place, and just like the last two times, it was a disappointment. The only difference is this time, I didn’t even get to order before I walked out and decided to go somewhere else. Their food and selection is horrible and their service is worse. When my son and I came in today, they all looked at us like we were an inconvenience to them. They looked at us like we were stupid for not sitting ourselves despite the sign in front of us that said “please wait to be seated”. So they yelled across the restaurant “sit wherever you like” so loud that everyone in the restaurant stopped what they were doing and looked up at us. We go sit down quickly to get the eyes off us. If you are fishing the lagoon this is the only/Coffee breakfast spot you will ever need. $1 coffee before 7 $5 breakfast plate before 7 Amazing. Top notch. Coffee is amazing. Food it amazing. What else do you need?

Peggy, the original owner, is back! If you want a great meal and a good price, this is the place! They serve breakfast all day! (Biscuits and sausage gravy are so good). The food is fresh and delicious. While you there ask about Peggy's famous bullet hole that is still in the wall. Small town feel with down to earth prices and great taste makes Peggy's a must do when in Edgewater. The food is something I would drive a ways for. The friendly serve is another great reason. To stop in.

If you have a soft spot for a real American diner, this is the kind of real place you're looking for. I've only been for breakfast though. Leave the feral cat colony behind the dumpsters alone!

Arrived and Ordered a Florida consisting of 1 egg 2 pieces of bacon and half order of biscuits and gravy, as I finished the eggs I noticed a hair on the plate at the bottom of the eggs. Not one waitress asked how our meals were and handed us our checks. I walked to the front to pay with my plate to show the waitress and she said I can take it off not sorry this happened to you do you want another meal. I said no I’ll pay for it no issue and they insisted. Low quality food . Low quality service.
