FINALLY!!!!!! I made it into Gatto’s Family Deli YAY! I know everyone in my feed has raved & now it was our turn to try this amazing-ness! We did a little taste test spree to try various items So lets start! First: The Tuscan sammy........good Lord there must be 2 pounds of meat! Thin sliced mortadella, burrata, house pesto & pistachios on their homemade bread baked fresh this morning! TO DIE FOR! I placed the butter dish next to it to show you the height of this baby! Pizza: White pizza with bacon and a slice of traditional cheese...so crispy and fresh!!! From the ready-to-go deli case: Sweet Italian sausage with peppers & onions that literally took me back to my childhood in NY. OK, I just discovered this new jewel in Edgewater and New Smyna beach, what a find! Stopped in today at lunch and picked up a meatball sub that was delicious, just had their stuffed peppers with short rib, rice, cheese and tomato sauce on the side, outstanding! Had a loaf of their homemade bread and two Pizza slices that were perfect, not over sauced, outstanding crust. Edgewater, New Smyrna, Oak Hill y’all are lucky! John and Sally

Hands down the best pizza I’ve had since I’ve been back to New York. You will not find a pizza like this 3 cities north or south of this place. I’m a second generation Italian American and if my father was still around to taste this pizza he would have been extremely happy. Pizza and Italian food in general has been going down hill around here as people have taken over their families restaurants. This place is a breath of fresh air. I got a 16” pie with vodka sauce, mozzarella, ricotta, pepperoni and fresh basil with hot honey drizzled over the top. I also got a vodka chicken parm.

The best chicken vodka parm that you’re going to find in the area! Amazing, fresh-baked bread with a nice crispy crust, thick pieces of tender chicken, lots of melty cheese, and the vodka sauce is full of flavor!! Just make sure you’re aware the restaurant is all counter service with no dining room. I didn’t know this when I went and wound up having to eat standing by the trunk of my car. Definitely still worth it though!

Spent a few weeks in Edgewater and heard through the grapevine that this was the place to get pizza. Text in your order? Yes please! They were incredibly friendly, helpful and the food was delicious. If one of these opens up in West Volusia they could put a few people out of business!
