Paxton Family Restaurant

Great place. Everything is homemade. Staff was super nice. Don’t let the outside deceive you. It is so yummy. And cheap for the amount of food you get. It was very busy but they knew how to handle a crowd. The map directions were weird but as soon as you get off the interstate you will see it.

Izzy was the best server I’ve had in 10 years. Food was amazing. Def stop by you won’t be disappointed.

Wow what a fantastic find! This place surprised me and my family with outstanding service and great food. It’s not much to look at on the outside, but don’t let that deceive you. The people are awesome inside and the food is delicious! 5 star experience!

This is a great place for breakfast/lunch. The Google map directions are quite bizarre! As you get off the I-57 southbound exit, you can see the restaurant across the road a few hundred feet away; a few seconds by car. Google maps send you in the opposite direction around a large square block to come back from the opposite direction. Don't do that; it's crazy. There is a second confusing issue: the sign in front of the restaurant says "Paxton Inn," because they share a common driveway entrance. I have attached a photo of the restaurant. The food and service are great. Many town regulars eat there and we're greeted by name. We felt equally welcome. Paxton Family Restaurant is a great place to stop for a meal where you will be treated, as their name states, like family.

I ordered A BLT club once and the bacon was crumbled, so it didn't stay on the sandwich. Another time I bought a skillet but the hash browns were still cold. The final time I went I got a grilled chicken sandwich but the chicken wasn't seasoned at all and was stringy.
