Patches' Pastries Fortuna

This bakery is the best thing to happen to Main Street Fortuna in a long time. By far my wife’s and my favorite place to grab a quick treat or coffee to get through the work day and our new go-to for special event dessert orders. Their croissant breakfast sandwiches are so buttery and delicious. The scones, cookies and danishes never miss. The vibe inside is so cozy and queer-friendly and the staff are sweet and welcoming. We actually love their cakes so much that we ordered the cakes for our wedding here and the baker, Kyle, did an awesome job on them!! Our guests all raved about how pretty and flavorful they were. I recommend to everyone I know that visits Fortuna to give them a try!

Everything I’ve ever tried from Patches’ has been so freaking good! The enjoyment I had from my first Patches’ raspberry danish was such a memorable and delicious event that I still tell people all about it. And I’m not even a person who usually goes for a danish. But I’m so glad I did that one time. The pastry had this great structure but somehow still retained a perfect flakiness…. the texture and flavors of sugar crystals on the top of the pastry against the soft, acidic raspberries in the center……. So I guess that means it’s long overdue that I tell Google reviews about it, too. But today was the first time I visited the actual location in Fortuna. I highly recommend this place. The croissants are huge and so are the cinnamon buns. Everything tastes, amazing and the people who work here are so kind. I will definitely come back here and sit down in one of the comfortable chairs to crochet for a while and enjoy my food and beverage next time.
