Perfect spot for a classic sandwich! Tom and crew are so nice and friendly. You can tell it’s a family-run business and they’re happy to be a part of the community. The Reuben and cold Italian was delicious! And they pack the meats in too. We got a side of home made chips which hit the spot and my daughter loved the chicken fingers. Don’t forget to grab a banana pudding foster for dessert!
First time out I tried their Reuben. The Pastrami here is just as good as places like Katz deli in NYC in my uneducated opinion. Only complaint: I should have asked for double meat because I'm that kind of guy, but the Pastrami here is the real deal. The Potato salad is really good. I have 2 complaints: a couple pieces were cut a little large (which makes it clear that this was hand made, IMO) and I wish it had a little more egg. Otherwise, excellent. Second time I had the Ultimate Roast beef sandwich. Fantastic as it was clear to me that they were using something along the lines of a whole roast that they sliced thick cuts of meat off instead of slices from a deli like other places have passed off. I'm not a fan of horseradish, but I always want a meal as presented the first time aro
I popped in for a late lunch and they did not disappoint! I had the forest melt with some sweet potato fries and they were incredible. The cinnamon sugar butter whatever it was that came with the sweet potato fries delicious. I’ll be coming back for some more soon!
Our first visit to Tom’s and certainly not our last! I ordered the small Rueben with Pastrami (corned beef is also an option) and opted to try it “Tom’s way” and added the smoked pepper bacon jam; off the hook delish! The bread was toasty crunchy as I bit in then came the flavor explosion of tangy kraut, juicy, tender pastrami and the smoky-sweet jam! Their Crinkle cut sweet potato fries paired well with the savory sandwich! My sweetie did a “build your own” hot pastrami on a toasted hoagie with his fav condiments - he’s still raving about it! Super sweet family-glad y’all are here and see you soon!
A little all over the place on the sandwich execution, but the service and overall flavor were on point. The chicken cheesesteak was tasty, just put together a bit inconsistently. The steak bomb, on the other hand, was absolutely delicious and really hit. They’re clearly busy, so a little patience goes a long way — I think they’ll work out the kinks soon. Definitely a great new spot and a solid addition to downtown Cary.
