Panda Express

go to Panda once in a while because it’s very close to the shopping center where my business, Orient Retreat Spa, is located. We are new to Delaware, and most of the time I use DoorDash. My husband and three kids love Panda food, and my husband, who is American, also enjoys Chinese food. I usually order a family-size meal once a week. I’ve been there two or three times, but yesterday I was impressed by one of the employees — a young woman who seemed Spanish or a little Asian. She was incredibly welcoming, cheerful, and energetic, even at 8 PM. Most people are tired at the end of the day, but she was patient, helpful, and made the experience very pleasant. Noticed this one got some bad reviews in the past. This particular panda is exceptionally clean. Food was hot and yummy. Help was kind and communicative. Can’t express enough the importance of cleanliness. Even dining room chair legs were clean. Good stuff.

Very poor customer service. The staff was extremely rude. I waited at the drive-through for few seconds after placing my order with no acknowledgment or response. I politely said “hi” and “hey,” and after still getting no response, I gently honked. Instead of explaining the delay, the employee immediately started yelling at me for honking, saying she was on the phone assisting another customer. There was no way for me to know that since there was zero communication. On top of that, the portion size we received was very small. Overall, a disappointing experience. My grandson ordered 1/2 chow Keon 1/2 fried rice with honey sesame chicken and orange chicken to share with his sister. We got home and chow mein his sister doesn’t eat rice . We live 35 minutes away so he was disappointed I fix oodles noodles for her chicken side. The store didn’t answer the phone
