I have been to a lot of restaurants who serves caldo. By far this restaurant caldo the best. It was fresh ingredients, authentic and enough. I know people tend to write a review when there is something wrong, but let's be fair and give credit when they serve you with authentic, fresh and hot meal. Hands off to the entire staff and
This place is not what it used to be like 3 yrs ago the quality of the food was not good at all for a party of 6 none of us liked what we ordered and everything is so over priced for a caldo de galling 26$ is crazy wont be returning i officially moved to Dallas and last time i visited this place was very good service was great but cook might have changed they didnt even greet us didnt check up on us and the food was not good none of us finished our plates.
Fish was flavorful. Okay tamales. Okay sweet breads. We got here close to closing so the selection was minimal. My family member recommends the Guatemalteca on E. Beltline Rd over this location. Food was still decent.
Love this place! ❤️🇬🇹 I come here with my wife & we love the representation and authenticity of the food! The flavors are amazing and doesn't compare to my Mexican palate😝 so the experience was fun & exciting! The have refreshing drinks such as horchata, jaimaica and a corn drink that's was surprisingly sweet! Restaurant is very colorful and is a small glimpse of there home town. Theres also a small store with a bunch of goodies and gifts from Guatemala 🇬🇹 (Cash Only) Service is for the most part good but when it gets packed it slows down a bit. Also they put the tip on the bill already depending on the party & will also charge a card fee on top of the bill so *Precaution* *)(Paying cash is preferred)(* Experience was great and left with a happy tummy will be back soon! I just left this location/restaurant. My wife is Guatemalan and is proud of her heritage. Although she was content to see the place adorned in Guatemalan colors/textiles. She was not very happy with the quality of the food. I do not mean the following to sound discriminatory in any way. But she feels that the food was average at best. The reason for that is that it caters to lower scale clientele. Perhaps one that doesn’t necessarily know the difference of a well prepared dishes. I guess if you are one that is use to street food or lower scale restaurants, this is your place. But if you’re looking for a well prepared, high-quality, well-made Guatemalan cuisine. This is definitely not the place. Overall, the place was clean and friendly. Give it a try and decide for yourself.
