Pal’s - Hayden Island

Such an amazing views and lots of seating options. The drinks are tasty but the foods need to get improvement. Not recommend ordering “Hotdog” its really salty. And I’m not sure why staff put a lots of ketchup on my hotdog 🌭 without asking customer. It’s way too much and it’s really messy when I tried to eat it. We also ordered “Grill cheeses 🧀” for our kid but staff burn 🔥the bread 🍞 really dark and after I confirm and asked if they can redo the grill cheese, staff said “ Oh, ok” with cold face! As I know, staff not fully redo my grill cheeses, they burn both side of the bread but they redo only one side and re-used the old burn grill cheeses return back to me. I forgot to take those pictures due to that issues. Highly recommend retraining staff for better customer service. We pay full

Such a Portland gem to visit! Latte in hand, shrimp & crab roll on the table, and a Columbia River marina view through big, bright windows. Delicious from start to finish, with the sweetest, most attentive service!

I’ve only been here during the summer menu which recently changed so remember that. Pal’s is a new establishment at the east end of Hayden Island with a great outdoor and indoor seating environment overlooking Columbia Crossing’s Tomahawk Bay Marina. To date I’ve had their burgers, white bean salad, curly fries, and beer. The Big Slap is delicious beyond description with two large fresh beef patties and an incredible sauce with shredded lettuce and cheese. It fills me up with nothing else, but of course I enjoy a few beers too! Possibly one of the best tasting burgers I’ve ever had. The single patty burger has grilled onions and tastes a little like bbq sauce but it’s not. I enjoyed it too. The white bean salad is filling and has a unique taste. Super cute spot with amazing views and lots of awesome seating options. The drinks are tasty but seem to have next to no liquor in them. One tasted like it was completely non alcoholic. Very yummy but felt completely sober after one drink and generally feel pretty tipsy after a glass of wine. There were also lots of very large spiders on the patio and spider webs. Not sure much can be done about this but we had to move several times to avoid some scary critters. Otherwise so freaking cute, amazing patio, beautiful to watch the sunset, and I thought the drinks were on par with Portland drink prices. Friendly service too!

Beautiful location and atmosphere! The drink was okay, burger felt pretty wimpy sadly and got cold fast, fries seemed like frozen French fries warmed up. Super cute place but the food wasn’t too impressive sadly. Ice cream was super good 🍦🍔🍹⛵️🐟
