Palisades Park Library

Nice and neat place BUT.... it gets too noisy time to time. High school students teach each other with loud voice, not minding how others could be bothered. They even don't bother themselves to take seats far enough from studying people. And sometimes kids are running inside the library and shouting like they are in kindergarten. However, the library "manager" doesn't want to tell or do anything particularly about the students, even after asking. Unacceptable at all.

This place feels more like a cafe than a library. It's recommended to use noise-canceling earphones or headphones if you're here to read book or study. Especially around 3 p.m. when nearby schools finish, the library turns into a bustling social hub for parents of elementary students. Therefore, if you prefer a quiet library atmosphere, it's advisable to come early in the morning.

I absolutely love this library! The staff members are incredibly friendly and helpful, making each visit a pleasure. It has convenient late opening hours on weekdays, allowing busy individuals to explore its treasures after work. I'm also thrilled by the constant influx of new books, ensuring there's always something fresh to discover. I'm also delighted by their extensive collection of Korean books.

I like this library. AT TIMES. They do have a wide selection of books and movies in various languages. Everything is organized into categories. There is a good amount of seating and computers to use, and the staff are friendly. Events happen weekly, and there are books available for sale. The only issue(s) I have is that the kids are loud. Usually, kids are on the computers, mostly playing online games, Roblox, etc. While playing, they tend to talk or laugh quite loudly. While you are at the library, bursts of laughter, loud talking, sprinting, and people eating when they aren't supposed to are common. Love this library. Although I grew up when the town library was on Broad Avenue, but greatly love how Steves art work is up on the walls and how I am able to tell my kids I grew up partially at the new library, but have so many more memories at the old library! Also, the best part is being able to have story time with our kids~ Thank you!
