Appa's Kimbap & Sushi 아빠 김밥

I was already super full today and honestly had no appetite at all. My boyfriend was getting a haircut nearby, so I stopped by and grabbed one kimbap. The staff was really nice, and I didn’t expect much. But once I got home and started eating, wowwowowowww!!! It was such a surprise. It was SO good that I finished the entire kimbap in under five minutes, even though I had zero appetite before. Hands down the best kimbap I’ve ever had. I’m definitely buying more next time!

To me, there's no handier or faster meal than a roll of kimbap. These Korean rolls of rice, veggies, and (if chosen) meats are a quick way to get a balanced meal in a finger food, and a colleague recently pointed me to Appa's Kimbap as her preferred spot to get them. What sets this place apart is that they make each roll fresh to order. Unlike other kimbap spots that prepare everything in the early morning and leave them out all day, which can be a bit concerning in the summer, this place takes the time to make everything right when you order. You can really taste the care they put into it. it’s so flavorful, and as soon as you open the lid, the aroma of sesame oil is amazing. Today, I tried the classic kimbap, keto, and tuna rolls, and I’m already looking forward to trying more next time

Best Kimbap I’ve had in the US in years! I’ve never found a decent Kimbap place to my liking anywhere nearby in NJ or NYC. So I’m so glad I found this place! It seemed their Kimbaps are prepared ahead and ready to go, so everything comes out super quick.
