Paila con Leña Restaurant

If you’re looking for an exclusive experience you must go visit this restaurant. The food was 20/10 I ordered mofongo with sauce and shrimps and it was delicious! Their juice is homemade and it was delicious! I owner is very lovely and attentive. The vibe feels like you’re in the Dominican Republic. The music and the people made it feel very welcoming. It was an amazing experience. I recommend trying the fried yuca with the white sauce shrimp, it’s amazing!

My sister and I decided to try this restaurant after discovering that our favorite Dominican spot in Rahway was closed on Sundays. The restaurant itself is nice, clean, and well-kept. The food was good, not bad at all, but nothing particularly memorable either. Unfortunately, the customer service left a lot to be desired. The woman assisting us seemed disengaged and wasn’t very helpful while we were placing our takeout order. My sister actually had to guide her on how much rice and pernil to include. It would have been helpful if she had explained the differences between a lunch order, a small dinner, and a large dinner so we could better understand portion sizes and pricing. It's definitely an authentic Dominican Restaurant you want to try. I feel I am in DR when I come here. My mofongo with shrimp was excellent, so flavorful!my husband had Churrasco and tostones, so juicy! Great natural drinks like morir soñando (orange juice and evaporated milk( and Chinolay avena(Passion fruit and oatmeal) was amazing. Very professional and friendly and accommodating.

Absolutely incredible experience at Paila y Leña in Linden! From start to finish, everything we ordered was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. The coconut and mango lemonades were refreshingly delicious and the perfect start to our meal. We tried a mix of dishes — the mixed seafood mofongo, chicken parm, pork mofongo, seafood paella, beef empanadas, Yucatan fries, and a fresh salad — and every single bite was amazing. The mofongos were rich and flavorful, the seafood paella was perfectly cooked and generously portioned, and the empanadas were crisp and savory. The service was friendly, fast, and welcoming, and the atmosphere made it feel like a true hidden gem. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. Very Friendly. Food was so good! Owner came out to greet us as well. Inside was so clean!! Definitely recommend!! Avocado was so fresh and ripe. I had the stewed chicken- tender and very flavorful!! Finally seasoned food 😊
