Pagalo's Pizzeria & Gelato Cafe

Been going to Pags for years. I am from Dallas and I have never found a better pizza than this. If you like meat lovers type get the Italian Stallion well done, you WILL NOT be disappointed. If you are there for lunch they have a 10$ pizza and soup deal that is hard to beat. I get the sausage pizza and chicken soup. Always hits the spot!

What a gem! Stumbled upon Pagalo's while road tripping through rural Illinois. We were greeted with kindness and wonderful hospitality. They have an amazing lunch deal. Very reasonable prices. We each got a 7in pizza. They were cheesy and fresh, and the crust was fluffy and crispy and just delightful. I also ordered the Wisconsin Cheese soup. I received a very generous portion, and even took some home with me. A lovely experience all around. Highly recommend. And I'm a Chicago and Rockford pizza girl, so I know good pizza!! Oh, and their bread sticks were lip smacking garlic salty!! ❤️

Nice atmosphere. Very small selection of craft beers at a very fair price. The pizza cheese is excellent, however the crust is too thin and lacks any char, which I expect to find on a wood fired pizza. RESPONSE TO OWNER: from your previous responses, I gather that you preferred constructive criticism. However, if the way you have cooked pizzas has worked for 28 years as you say, best of luck to you and you've lost a customer based on your ARROGANT response.

Stopped here for lunch while in town based on a recommendation and really enjoyed the lunch. The restaurant was very clean and modern with nice decor (see pictures), the workers were all very friendly and the place was quite lively. I ordered the grilled chicken pizza (see picture) and really liked the seasoning, crust and overall flavor. Unfortunately, I didn't save room for gelato after the pizza...so will save that for the next visit. We were a party of 4 tonight had jade as our server and let me tell you she was hands down one of the best we have ever had. Very professional great sense of humor just down right amazing. The food was fantastic. We will definitely we back
