Took me 30 years to find this bakery! Tucked into a spot alongside the railroad tracks in Tanaqua. It is tough to spot. GPS not precise enough. Called the owner (Larry) who came outside and directed me! Best Italian bread I can remember. Original old style bakery with coal fired ovens. Nothing new age here! Just an owner making bread all day, every day as has his family for generations. Worth a stop to get some loaves and see how local bread bakeries were historically run. Nothing fancy here....almost could be described as a working history model. (If the climate fanatics don't forbid coal-fired ovens.) Go visit. You will have a great memory and delicious fresh baked bread! Let's hope this gem continues on and on.....
