Pacioni's Pizzeria

Wow. Not sure what happened to this place. I use to frequent here about 9-10 years ago and the pizza was phenomenal everytime. You could taste the quality ingredients in the pizza. I was in downtown Mount Vernon and it sounded real good so I got a pizza to go. Wow have things changed. They went from having great Neapolitan pizza, To frozen pizza or Chuck E. Cheese grade pizza. We ate it, but we’re extremely surprised on how the quality has gone so downhill over the years. Pacionis if you’re reading this, bring back your old way of making pizza.

Dined in on 6/25/25 and wow! We were very impressed with the food and service! We are from Alaska and my wife wanted Italian so we were walking in the area and decided to eat at this location, the place had about 6 tables with what looks to be one chef and one waitress and she was super friendly and very polite, keep the drinks filled and empty plates of the table, the chef was dishing out amazing food! We started with the bruschetta, which was great! Had great plate presentation and flavor was on point! My wife got the Sicilian Pene and was amazed on the flavors as well another great plate presentation. I had the Ruben panini and yes just as you would think it was great!!! Definitely top 5 Ruben sandwiches I have had and we will definitely be back again before we leave this state! We wann

My S.O. and myself were in the mood for some Italian inspired fare. We had been meaning to try this local spot for some time and finally made the move to stop in and try Pacioni's. Our food was as expected, nothing ground breaking. My S.O. remarked that the calzone's crust was good and she liked their marinara sauce. My turkey panini I felt could have been more sauce forward, I really didn't taste the pesto. The orzo pasta salad that came with the panini wasn't something we'll get again. Neither of us liked the flavor, it had a mild sweetness that was off putting to us. Remember taste is subjective, so maybe someone out there really likes it. That wasn't us though. We stopped here for a drink and quick bite before a basketball game. I NEVER post reviews but felt compelled in this case. We were the only people in the restaurant on a Thursday night…. Probably a red flag…. $22 for a tiny Cobb salad and $13 for a cocktail. I don’t mind paying for a good meal but the prices do not reflect the food quality at all. I will not be back.

I have tried this place more than once now. I wish I could say I’m happy but I am not. The quality of the food is just not good, especially for the prices they charge. I got a chicken parmesan and it came with a salad. The Caesar salad I got was the spiciest Caesar salad I’ve ever eaten. They also up charged me $5.20 for it without telling me it was extra. Everything was drowning in garlic. We didn’t even order that much food and left having spent almost $120 for two people.
