Oxford Lane Library

A really well designed and built library. This whole area is well paved with plenty of parking. The librarians are all very polite and helpful. I have a library card here and I was able to check out a mandolin and tune it up and play it. I have arthritis now and can play only occasionally. I can still sit comfortably and read a magazine.

Just took my son here to get ourselves some library cards. Staff are super friendly and helpful. It's quiet, very well organized making things easy to find, clean and had a nice atmosphere. Love that we can go from this library to the lane libraries in Hamilton and Fairfield as well.

This library is at the heart of the college town. It has a rich collection of non academic books. The best part is it has 3 study rooms upstairs which you can book beforehand for two hours for study purpose without any cost. The librarians are also super friendly. Downstairs, you’ll find a help desk from where you can borrow musical instruments available for free.

I went in the library with my 9 month old son and fiance today. We were mostly in the children section but we stopped in the conjoining room for teens because my fiance enjoys comics, etc. We weren't bothering anybody, there was one kid with a headset on playing video games. We were enjoying a rare and special moment and our first time at the library as a family. My fiance was looking through a few books while I was quietly discussing plans holding the baby (also being quiet) when a worker walked in and told us rudely (despite saying they weren't trying to be rude) that if we weren't skimming books we had to leave and go back to the child's section. We left immediately but it really felt unnecessary and we weren't bothering anyone.

Amazing library with a great layout. Sections are organized and shelves clean. Staff is helpful and friendly. Programs are varied and awesome. It’s a breath of fresh air in a chaotic world.
