Over the Falls

We went to Over The Falls for my birthday dinner on a Tuesday evening. It was a very good experience. Great atmosphere. Food was delicious. I loved that they offered a mocktail after I requested it alothough they're not on the menu. We most definitely will go back and try something different from their menu.

Four of us Senior Citizens went for lunch. I was the only vegan. After surveying the meat-laden menu, things looked grim for me. But I had the foresight to ask if they had a vegeburger. "Yes, we do!" Our young and capable server replied. "Do you want fries with that?" "Of course!" I said. It was a good choice on my part. The vegeburger was decent, and the fries were fantastic! My wife had the salad (it had breaded/fried baby portebello mushrooms in it). She said it was delicious! The ambiance was great! The employees were friendly and helpful.

A lovely lunch spot during the week. Over the Falls was cozy and warm on this cold December day. The fried shrimp platter was very taste and offered a generous amount of shrimp. I would definitely order it again. We sat at a high table in the bar area and it was fascinating to look at the variety of Bourbon they have available.

Overall the food was really good. Everything seemed really fresh and everyone enjoyed their food. It was also priced really well And I think you get good value for the money. It is really hot though. I really wanted to try the wings but I know I would have been sweating up a storm if I did. The Soda also doesn't taste like either coke or Pepsi products. Overall we would go back but with NC right now being in a heatwave, it's kinda hard to make it a top choice.

Not my first time going here, but I have never been disappointed. The food is always incredible along with the service. Also there is rarely much of a wait time. They have a great gluten free pizza too!
