Out of the Oven Bakery

Today we found a hidden gem in White Stone, Virginia! Don’t walk, run to out of the oven bakery, you will not be disappointed. We met the owner Marie today and her expertise of baking comes through in every bite of the croissants we bought today. I had a cookie butter filled croissant that has risen to my top three croissant experiences in my life… Including eating croissants in France. My husband had the most incredible strawberry cream cheese croissant. We also purchased freshly baked sourdough bread, a muffin, and a package of Italian powdered sugar covered doughnuts… Marie is an incredible pastry chef. We enjoyed everything!

I can't rave enough about this bakery. Amazing donuts and other pastries. And the pies! I always go for sweet potato and it's scrumptious. Prices are really reasonable and the owners are so nice. It's a must stop every time I visit the Northern Neck.

We stopped by your bakery after a visit to an eye doctor in Richmond on February 18. My eyes were dilated so my vision was a bit impaired. As we walk in to your bakery, my SO says something about your shelves being somewhat empty. It was my birthday and all I wanted was a slice of chocolate cake, so I veered to the left to peek into a white refrigerator with a clear door. The precious young man at the counter says something while my back is turned so I did not realize he was talking to me. In return, my SO replies, rather loudly because he’s sometimes boisterous, “She’s just looking!” You come out from the back and yell, “What did you just say?” He is appalled at your behavior and leaves your bakery because he does not like confrontation. Ever since I moved to the Northern Neck "Out of the Oven Bakery", has been a regular place for me to visit. The owners have always been warm and welcoming, just as you'd hope for in a smaller town. Their offerings are fresh and tasty. My favs are: the Lemon squares, Oatmeal raisin cookies, and my usual Banana Nut Loaf... (which I understand is a great seller for them) There is a wide array of sweet treats to chose from, so take your pick! If you haven't tried this Bakery, give yourself a treat, or better yet, bring assorted treats home for everyone..!

Marie created an absolutely beautiful and delicious birthday cake for my coworker! Excellent service, easy to work with, would highly recommend!
