I arrived at 4:04pm on a Tuesday with my family. The parking lot is really small and I was lucky to get one spot. Inside, there was a line. A staff told us that wait time came reach to 50 mins due to walk ins and online orders and all food is cooked to order with 2 chefs. I chose to stay because I already knew what I wanted and didn’t want to spent time trying to find another restaurant in the area, especially with 2 kids. There is a small seating area. When we got to host stand to order, I was told that Grits and waffle cut off at 4pm daily… this upset me because I had looked at menu prior to coming and that’s what I really wanted. So first, i have to mention that I am not from here. My boyfriend and I took a small toad trip back in May 2025 and ate from this restaurant and had to come back for his birthday to have what he regards as his “favorite burger.” The SITW burger is a 10/10 absolute recommend! We’ve had it every time we’ve eaten from here and it is never a miss. We’ve also had the Crab Cale Lobster & Shrimp BLT, which I rate a 7/10 solely because of that Burger. The Berkley Big Boy would rate a 9/10. It’s very flavorful and i really enjoy the special sauce, but I don’t expect fish bones when eating a sandwich, so that was a little disappointing, though they were only in the first few bites. Where do I start from the moment my Wife and I walked into the door we felt the warmth and excitement of the staff. The establishment was clean even with remodeling going on. The food was beyond amazing it was fresh hot and tasty. My Wife ordered the appetizer of salmon strips so good we forgot to take a picture. We also ordered this delicious goodness called the Vick Pick. Which was a Salmon and Shrimp cheesesteak, honey hot wings and my favorite type of fries crispy seasoned and fresh. This place is a gem and the conversation my Wife and the owner had shows the love and the passion that they have in their customer service and the food. Many blessings and much success to you all.

I cannot say enough good things about this place! My husband and I went for the first time last night and it exceeded our expectations. The food came out piping hot. The shrimp I got were huge and fried to perfection. The fish was well seasoned and crispy. The fries were hot and well seasoned, as well. The portions were excellent. It was absolutely delicious. The yams were some of the best that I've ever tasted. The cans of soda were ice cold. The customer service was excellent. They were friendly and answered our questions. We had a great experience at Our People’s Soulful Seafood!! My husband and son both got the Shoop Park Seafood Platter. I’m not a seafood person, so I went with the Barraud Blackened Chicken Sandwich and onion rings. We also got our 2 year old a chicken chunks and fries kids meal that came with a capri-sun. It took a while for the food but that was fine. They have a sign saying that everything is prepared fresh so it’s not fast food. When we got seated and received our food, it was hot and smelled delicious. My husband took a bite and looked like he was going to shimmy. They seasoned and salted the seafood just right. I tried the fish and like I mentioned earlier I don’t enjoy seafood but that fish was bomb!! My sandwich was also bursting with different flavors that worked so well together
